DEAL Springer / Nature

Information from the Max Planck Digital Library

In order to make use of the agreement, please make sure to meet the following conditions when publishing with Springer Nature:

  • The article has been accepted for publication by a Springer Nature hybrid or fully open access journal.

  • The online publication date of the article is on or after 1 January, 2020 in the case of hybrid journals and on or after 1 August 2020 in the case of fully open access journals.

  • To be eligible, the author must be the corresponding author of the article. Please note that in order to be eligible it is not sufficient to be corresponding author in name only.

  • The author must be affiliated with a Max Planck Institute and must publish under this affiliation – the Max Planck Institute must be stated in the published article.

  • The article matches one of these types:

  • In the case of hybrid journals: OriginalPaper, ReviewPaper, BriefCommunication, EditorialNotes, BookReviews, Letters, Reports. Please note that in certain medical specialist journals (so-called "Facharztzeitschriften", see column J in the journal title list) only unsolicited (not requested) research articles (OriginalPaper, ReviewPaper, BriefCommunication) are eligible.

  •  In the case of fully open access journals: OriginalPaper, ReviewPaper, BriefCommunication.

  • Charges for additional options (color-in-print, posters etc.) are NOT covered by this agreement.

Please check the MPDL OA Journal list for APC specifics. Springer Nature's portfolio and Scientific Reports will only start on Aug. 1st, 2020.

DEAL Wiley:

Information from the Max Planck Digital Library

The Max Planck Society participates in the agreement between Projekt DEAL and Wiley and centrally covers the Open Access fees for affiliated corresponding authors in all Wiley hybrid and fully Open Access journals. In order to make use of the agreement, please make sure to meet the following conditions when publishing with Wiley:

  • The article has been accepted for publication by a Wiley hybrid or fully open access journal.

  • The acceptance date of the article is on or after 22 January 2019 in the case of fully open access journals and on or after 1 July 2019 in the case of hybrid journals.

  • To be eligible, the author must be the submitting and corresponding author of the article. Please note that in order to be eligible it is not sufficient to be corresponding author in name only.

  • The author must be affiliated with a Max Planck Institute and must publish under this affiliation – the Max Planck Institute must be stated in the published article.

  • The article matches one of these types: Primary research articles or review articles.

  • Charges for additional options (color-in-print, posters etc.) are NOT covered by this agreement.

Open Access Vereinbarung zwischen Projekt DEAL und Wiley

Informationen der Max Planck Digital Library

Die Max-Planck-Gesellschaft nimmt an der Open Access-Vereinbarung zwischen Projekt DEAL and Wiley teil und übernimmt zentral die Open Access Gebühren für affiliierte korrespondierende Autorinnen und Autoren in allen Hybrid und Gold Open Access-Zeitschriften von Wiley. Bitte beachten Sie die folgenden Bedingungen für die Open-Access-Veröffentlichung über den Vertrag mit Wiley:

  • Der Artikel muß von einer Wiley Hybrid oder Gold Open Access-Zeitschrift zur Veröffentlichung akzeptiert worden sein.

  • Der Vertrag gilt für Artikel, die ab dem 22. Januar 2019 (Gold Open Access Journals) bzw. ab dem 1. Juli 2019 (Hybrid Journals) zur Veröffentlichung akzeptiert werden.

  • Berechtigte Autorinnen und Autoren müssen submitting und corresponding author des eingereichten Artikels sein. Bitte beachten Sie, dass es nicht ausreicht, nur nominell corresponding author zu sein.

  • Der corresponding author muss mit einem Max-Planck-Institut verbunden sein und diese Affiliation muss im Artikel angegeben sein.

  • Diese Vereinbarung gilt für primäre Forschungsartikel und Review-Artikel.

  • Kosten für zusätzliche Optionen (Color-in-print, Poster etc.) sind NICHT Bestandteil dieser Vereinbarung und werden NICHT zentral übernommen.
